International Dance Festival New Orleans 2024: JOIN US!

BODYART’s inaugural International Dance Festival New Orleans brought together the local dance community like never before! With Chilean arts organization Cooperativa Corredor de Danza Valparaíso, BODYART presented 3 Chilean artists and 15 local artists in 3 nights of performances and 2 packed days of masterclasses. We welcomed over 350 attendees to local venues Peter and Paul Hotel; New Marigny Theatre; and Andre Cailloux Center for Performing Arts and Cultural Justice!

Missed the action last year? Join us for the 2024 International Dance Festival New Orleans this fall, September 12-15!

My name is Lucy, and I worked with the Festival team last fall. One of the most exciting things about this Festival is just how many different ways there are to get involved. I first became involved as part of a class assignment, helping check people in for masterclasses.  I was inspired by the energy of the Festival and immediately wanted to be a part of it on a deeper level, helping others to join the dance magic. There is a place for everyone in the International Dance Festival New Orleans – here are just some of the many ways to get involved!

As an attendee…

The place to be this fall is in the audience of the Festival (rivaled only by the excitement of taking one (or all) of our masterclasses!). Whether you live down the street from one of our venues or are traveling from across the country, we can’t wait to have you. Tickets will be on sale starting April 8 on the BODYART website, so start planning!

As a sponsor…

The  Festival can’t run without our local sponsors. Our current partnerships and sponsorships with Peter and Paul Hotel; Tulane University; Centro de Experimentación Escénica; Sully Mansion; Grand Kewe; Jazz and Heritage Foundation; and New Orleans Cultural Tourism Fund lift us up and make it all possible. Whether you want to get involved on a company level or on a personal level, we greatly appreciate your support!

As an artist…

We are fortunate to be part of a community of so many incredible artists. One of the many goals of the Festival is creating an accessible opportunity for gulf south artists. We are excited to offer discounted artist passes to the community, available starting April 8 on the BODYART website! (www.bodyartdance.com/festival-2024)

As a performer…

It's not too late to fill out our Festival interest form. We are still looking for local artists who are interested in performing and/or teaching. Fill out the form, and our team will reach out with next steps!

As a volunteer…

Any event is only as good as its volunteers. Last year, we relied on volunteers from the community and student volunteers to do everything from setup, to bartending, to checking in attendees at performances and masterclasses. If you are interested in volunteering , email us at festival@bodyartdance.com for more information.

As a follower…

Even if you can't make it to the Festival, you're still in luck! You can follow our instagram @internationaldancefestnola, or shoot us an email to add to our mailing list and keep up with Festival happenings!

We are so looking forward to welcoming the community this September.  Whether you are a student, artist, volunteer, attendee, or all of the above, you can experience the action of IDFNO 2024!
